A lesson on spreading wealth

For once, I got a fwd: that was actually worth reading. Feel free to steal it, and spread it around. That's the moral of the story.

Yesterday on my way to lunch, I passed one of the homeless guys in that area, with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' Once in the restaurant my waiter had on a 'Obama 08' tee shirt. When the bill came, I decided not to tip the waiter and explained to him while he had given me exceptional service, that his tee shirt made me feel he obviously believes in Senator Obama's plan to redistribute the wealth. I told him I was going to redistribute his tip to someone that I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. He stood there in disbelief and angrily stormed away.I went outside, gave the homeless guy $3 and told him to thank the waiter inside, as I had decided he could use the money more The homeless guy looked at me in disbelief but seemed grateful. As I got in my truck, I realized this rather unscientific redistribution experiment had left the homeless guy quite happy for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn.Well, I guess this redistribution of wealth is going to take a while to catch on, with those doing the work.

The only poll that counts is the one on November 4

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin had a pointed message Sunday for Barack Obama: This thing isn't over yet. Palin said the Democratic presidential nominee was acting as if he's already won the election and had already written his inaugural address.

"Barack Obama and I both have spent quite some time on the basketball court," Palin told a raucous crowd of more than 5,000 at the convention center. "But where I come from, you have to win the game before you start cutting down the net."

Already written his inaugural address?? What else can you expect from someone as self-centered as Obama? The media has jumped on board too, as well as Pelosi, already declaring him the winner. The news networks are wringing their hands trying to figure out how to keep the public occupied all night since it's so obvious that Obama will win before it's even dinner time. Well, media, there's only one poll that counts, and it's not yours... or ACORN's.

Biden, Mrs. Biden and Obama won't answer questions
Barack Obama's campaign killed all interviews with a Florida TV station after Sen. Joe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, faced tough and critical questions from a reporter at the Orlando station, the Orlando Sentinel reported .

During a satellite video Thursday, WFTV's Barbara West quoted Karl Marx and asked Biden how Obama's comment to "Joe the Plumber," about spreading the wealth wasn't being Marxist.

"Are you joking?," Biden asked.

No, Biden. You are the joke.
West replied, "No."

"I don't know who's writing your questions," Biden asked her.

Who writes her questions? The more appropriate response would be, Who writes Obama's speeches? At least no one can claim the gaffe-tastic Biden is a plagiarist, with all of his slip-up's and step-in-it's. But this interview makes it clear that if Biden and Obama won't allow themselves to even be asked reasonable questions, then the Fairness Doctrine is right around the corner. I'm enjoying blogging while it lasts.

Quote of the day

"Someone called me a `redneck woman' once. You know what I said back? `Thank-you very much.'" - Governor Palin

Exactly. We all know who the real Americans are - Joe the Plumber and Tito the Construction worker. "Real" Americans don't hate America. That would make them French (even though Sarkozy rocks.)

Couric copies Palin's hair?

(h/t Drudge)

The mini-hive lives!! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But I like Obama's version better.

(h/t People's Cube)

Let's do a Palin Recap thus far

- 60,000 crowd in Florida
- Biggest SNL audience in 14 years
- Biggest VP debate audience in history

Is this irrelevance?

Sadly my vote in this hyper-liberal state I live in will not count. I should probably move to a swing state. How about I say I moved to a swing state, and vote there anyway? I can register through ACORN... three or four dozen times!

The People's Cube has an all-in-one hyphenated-American logo for Obama supporters, but they forgot the most important one of all:

Levi speaks!!

Bristol's babydad finally gives an interview, to some tabloid crews apparently camped out in front of his house.

Was he forced to marry Bristol?
Johnston said he has dated Palin since his freshman year in high school. "We were planning on getting married a long time ago with or without the kid," he said. "That was the plan from the start."

What about his appearance at the speech at the RNC?
Johnston said he wasn't forced to campaign with Palin's mother. Bristol Palin invited him and Johnston jumped at the chance. It was a whirlwind experience for Johnston, who was seated with the Palins at the Republican National Convention."At first, I was nervous," he said. "Then I was like, 'Whatever.'"

What's with the ring tattoo?
Last July on a caribou hunt he lost a "promise" ring that Palin had given him. He said he decided to tattoo her name on the finger and not bother with more rings because he'd just lose them anyway.

Does he really not want kids like his myspace page says?
"We're up for it. I'm excited to have my first kid. It's going to be a lot of hard work but we can handle it."

So obviously Bristol and Levi (who dropped out of school) ignored their abstinence lessons, but they are getting an A+ in liberals' favorite class: Taking Responsibility for Your Actions 101.

Oh yeah. The baby, a boy, is due on December 18.

David Kernell indicted

From the Knoxville News Sentinel, we learn that today, "A University of Tennessee student who is the son of a Memphis legislator has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of hacking Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's personal e-mail."

In the third paragraph, we finally figure out that this mysterious legislator is a "D-Memphis." Don't worry about David. After he gets one year probation, he will have many job offers.

And the hacker is...

Update:
Breitbart sez:
He was released without posting bond, but the court forbade him from owning a computer and limited his Internet use to checking e-mail and doing class work.

Eaux Neaux. Now he can't post anything thoughtful on 4chan!

Aww.. isn't he cute. Oh yeah, he's dating some girl from SC. I'm jeal.

'An American Carol' beats 'Religulous'

This weekend, the conservative comedy "An American Carol" beat out the left-wing Christian-bashing "Religulous," in their first week in theaters, coming in 9th place:

9 - An American Carol - $3,810,000 on 1639 screens
10 - Religulous - $3,500,000 on 502 screens

GO SEE AN AMERICAN CAROL! Vote with your dollars.

Palin Quote of the Week

"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country. This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America."

The gloves have officially come off. Sarah is turned loose. First the debate and now she's just on a roll. Why don't they have 3 VP debates?! Sigh...
